Intel cuts prices

Intel Corp. reduced, the price of some of its processors up to 50%, a slap to rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc., long known as the lower priced alternative to the chip.

Intel announced on its website, it cuts yesterday, the price of about a dozen processors. Patrick Ward, a spokesman for Intel, said that most of the processors on the price of the list was reduced to 65 nanometers technology Intel is phasing out in favor of the new 45nm chips.
